Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Venice Hotel in Arusha town. There, you will meet your guide, who will brief you on your upcoming safari and give you all the basic information about it.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Enjoy wildlife viewing on a full day game drives in the park.
Tarangire National Park boasts the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania after the Serengeti, making it a premier destination for experiencing Africa's diverse fauna. Guided by the life-giving Tarangire River, a vast array of mammals, predators, and birds gather amidst the park's iconic, ancient baobab trees.
In the evening, drive to Rim View Inn Karatu for your overnight stay.



Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater, then Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive to the crater floor, half day game drives, late afternoon continue toward Central Serengeti.
The Ngorongoro Crater in northern Tanzania is a unique, self-contained ecosystem that serves as a natural amphitheatre for over 25,000 large animals. It is celebrated for hosting one of the densest populations of large mammalian predators in Africa and offers an exceptional opportunity to see the complete African Big Five.

Day 3: Central Serengeti

Day 5: Mara River Migration Safari

Day 6: Northern Serengeti Game Drives

Spend another day tracking herds and exploring wildlife areas near Kogatende. In the evening, drive to Serengeti Wilderness Camps for your overnight stay.


Day 7: Drive to Karatu

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti National Park and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Karatu town. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at Rim View Inn Karatu, where you will enjoy a delicious hot dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.



Day 8: Drive to Arusha
At around 10:00 a.m., depart for Arusha town with your lunch box, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Venice Hotel.

Booking and Payment Policy

Advance Booking and Deposit

During the Great Wildebeest Migration season in Serengeti National Park, lodges and tented camps tend to fill up quickly due to high demand. We therefore recommend booking your lodge/tented camp safari within 18 - 9 months in advance to secure your preferred accommodation and avoid disappointment.

To confirm and secure your lodge/tented camp safari reservation with us, a 50% deposit of the total safari cost per person is required at the time of booking.

Remaining Balance

The outstanding balance must be paid at least six months before the scheduled safari start date to maintain your confirmed reservation.

For lodge safari inquiries received within six months of the scheduled safari start date, full payment (100% of the total safari cost) is required at the time of booking to confirm and secure your reservation.

Kindly Note: The start date listed is the first day on the safari. You should plan on being in Moshi/Arusha anytime a day before the start date. All prices are quoted in US Dollars.

Essential Packing Gear for Campers

Packing smart requires balancing strict weight limits (often 15 kg in soft-sided duffel bags for regional bush flights) with the shifting demands of the African bush.

Layered Clothing: Early mornings can be very cold, especially at high-elevation campsites like the Ngorongoro crater rim. Pack a warm fleece or jacket, paired with lightweight, breathable long-sleeve shirts and pants to protect against the equatorial sun and insects.

Neutral Colors: Opt for khaki, olive, tan, or beige to blend into the environment. Strictly avoid dark blue and black, which attract biting tsetse flies, as well as military camouflage, which is illegal for civilians in Tanzania.

Wildlife Optics: Bring high-quality binoculars (8x42 or 10x42 magnification) and a camera with a good zoom lens (200mm+) to observe distant animals.

Campsite Essentials: A working headlamp or torch with extra batteries is critical for navigating dark campgrounds at night. Pack wet wipes, hand sanitizer, and eye drops to easily combat the relentless savanna dust.

Health and Cash: Carry a basic first-aid kit stocked with sunscreen, insect repellent, and anti-malaria tablets. Ensure you bring enough US Dollars in cash (clean, crisp bills printed after 2009) for tips and local markets where cards aren't accepted.
